Note that if you backed Iron Kingdoms: Requiem and Iron Kingdoms: Borderlands and Beyond, you will be receiving two emails from Backerkit inviting you to download the PDF. It’s the same file in both accounts, so you’ll only need to download it once.

If you have completed your survey, then you may now download the preview PDF for the Borderlands Survival Guide from the Downloads section of your Backerkit account!
The Preview PDFs are not the final files that will be sent to press. We do our best to proof everything and weed out any errors, but we know that once we can get these PDFs into the hands of thousands of people, there are some things that will be spotted that inevitably get past our editors and proofers. If you do catch a typo, error, or something that otherwise looks like it’s out of place or needs a wrench taken to it, please email us what you’ve found at: [email protected]
We can accept feedback until this Sunday night (November 21st), after which we’ll be making any corrections before the books are sent off to print at the end of the month. We truly appreciate you lettings us know if you spot anything so that we can make the final PDFs and printed books as perfect as possible.
Shortly after the pledge manager closes on December 10th, we’ll have final PDFs for you to download so you’ll have the best version of the digital books available while you’re waiting for the physical rewards to arrive.
LATE PLEDGE PRE-ORDER STORE (CORRECTION)
I got my wires crossed in the previous update announcing the pre-order store and mistakenly wrote ‘Iron Kingdoms: Requiem campaign’ instead of ‘Iron Kingdoms: Borderlands and Beyond campaign’. My apologies for any confusion this caused.
The Requiem books will be available to order directly from Privateer Press once they have been shipped to backers. Our estimate for this is sometime around the end of December. Please sign up for our mailing list at privateerpress.com and you’ll be the first to know when the books are available. You’ll also receive a coupon code to receive free PDFs of the books with any physical book purchase.

IMPORTANT: UK AND EU VAT RATE UPDATE

Greetings EU and UK Backers,
A recent update in the Backerkit pledge manager has removed our ability to assign VAT rates by category and our VAT rates have defaulted to the standard, full VAT rate by territory. This means for countries that should be paying a reduced or zero VAT rate on books, VAT is currently being calculated at the full rate. Here's what we're doing to fix that:
We are currently revising the flat VAT calculation for the UK and all EU countries to reflect the appropriate VAT rate that should be applied to books. This should be updated within a few minutes, and if you return to your pledge manager you'll see the revised VAT calculation if you reside in a country with a reduce rate on books. However, we are at the same time reaching out to Backerkit to see if we can work through a solution that will allow VAT rates to be calculated by product category, and as well, solve the vastly more complicated issue of calculating the VAT on shipping proportionally to the VAT being applied to the purchased goods. This will take some time, but we are confident that we will have a solution before the pledge manager closes. And no credit cards will be charged until the pledge manager closes, so we should have everything worked out and correct by then.
HOWEVER, this means that if you add-on the Shadow of the Seeker miniatures or the Cloth Map, the VAT calculation will now be at the reduced book rate, which is incorrect. So if you do add either of these items on, please know that once we get the calculations working correctly, the VAT assessed on the miniatures and map will increase to the normal rate and this will in turn affect the VAT assessed on the shipping.
My apologies that we did not correctly identify this issue before launching the pledge manager. We are new to the practice of charging VAT and are still learning all of the nuances involved in calculating it properly. Thank you for your patience as we get it figured out, and if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly through the Kickstarter messenger and we'll be happy to help out.

PLEDGE MANAGER OPEN! PREVIEW PDFs AWAIT!

Greetings Adventurers!
After conducting a successful smoke test, the pledge manager is now officially open. Invites are being sent out through Backerkit and should arrive in your email inbox over the next few days. Don't be alarmed if you don't see one right away as they take a while for the system to distribute.
PLEDGE MANAGER
When you receive the invite, click on the link to be taken to your Backerkit profile. If you wish to increase your pledge level, click on the fine print at the bottom of this block that says "switch your pledge level".
From there, you'll be taken to our survey where we'll ask you a couple questions that help us get to know a bit more about our backers.
After that, you'll have the option to Add-On other items that you'd like to receive.
And last, you'll enter your shipping address and credit card info to cover any Add-Ons and shipping and VAT costs, and you're done!
Please double check the summary of info at the end and above all, make sure your shipping address is entered correctly. Remember that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes and wherever you are shipping to, make sure it's a secure location where your order can be delivered safely without risk of it being taken before you receive it.
The pledge manager will be open until December 10th, at which time we will close it, process credit cards, and lock it down so that we can begin our fulfillment process. It is vital that you complete your survey and update your shipping information before the pledge manager locks on December 10th in order to avoid any delays with your reward delivery.

PREVIEW PDFS
Here’s some incentive to get your survey filled out: once your survey is complete, you’ll be able to download the preview PDF of Borderlands & Beyond — like, right now! Just fill out your survey and then go to your Digital Downloads link, and it should be waiting there for you to download, but it won’t appear until you fill out your survey. And The Borderlands Survival Guide is going to be following in the next day or so, so don’t delay! You've got a lot of reading to do!

Smoke Test Away!

Hello Adventurers!
We have launched the smoke test for the pledge manager, which randomly sends out email invites to approximately 5% of backers.
If you are picked to be one of our lucky smoke test subjects, your prompt attention and completion of your survey and any feedback regarding problems you might encounter will be very much appreciated. Our hope is to weed out any issues and launch the pledge manager for all backers within 48 hours or less.
